Casey and Constance got married at Cheney Mansion in Oak Park, Illinois—one of our favorite venues—earlier this summer. Cheney Mansion, reminiscent of a gracious English country home, was designed in 1913 by Charles E. White, Jr., a student of Frank Lloyd Wright. The couple met at the University of Montana in their British Literature class where Constance was lovingly referred to as the “redhead know-it-all.” The rest as they say is history!
The happy couple got engaged last year at the Emerald City Comicon in Seattle, Washington thanks to the quick thinking of Casey who knew the only way to surprise Constance was to never speak even part of the proposal plan! Casey adores Constance’s down-to-earth demeanor and motivation along with her “terrible” puns and Constance adores Casey’s positive attitude, sincerity and honesty. They also love cooking together and watching World War II documentaries on Netflix.
The wedding’s exquisite details included ornate paper centerpieces made from old sci-fi and romance novels that took six months to make! The rest of the décor was flanked with mint green, black, taupe, and silver accents. The day was joyous and included their close family and friends. The couple are excited about their future together as husband and wife.
Congratulations Casey and Constance!
P.S. There’s a surprise at the end…drone photography!
